The Cowichan Capitals are excited to announce the commitment of 2005 born forward Kent Moors for the 2023/24 season. Moors from Kanata, Ontario, played this season in the Kootenay International Junior Hockey League’s Summerland Steam before joining the Capitals for the final few weeks after his Junior B season ended. In his rookie season of junior, Moors finished with a nearly point per game season as a 17 year old. Moors was an offence generator on the Steam, as his 19 goals were 9 more than the next highest finisher, and his 40 points in 41 games was 14 more than the second highest producer on the team. In 4 playoff games, Moors added another 2 goals and 2 assists before being eliminated.
After his Summerland season ended, Moors joined the Capitals down the stretch as an affiliate player, dressing in 8 games and scoring his first BCHL goal in Powell River in mid-March. Moors played his minor hockey in Ontario with the Renfrew Wolves U18 team, he was a 2nd round OHL U18 Priority Draft, but came to British Columbia to play junior and joins Cowichan for 2023.
